This exciting position is ideal for an experienced travel consultant from a travel agent or tour operator seeking career progression and something a little different.
Travel Consultant Duties:
- Engage with clients to understand their travel needs and preferences, providing personalised recommendations and solutions.
- Utilise GDS, with a strong preference for Amadeus however cross training is provided, to book flights, hotels, car rentals, and other travel arrangements.
- Manage and respond to a high volume of leads, converting inquiries into sales.
- Collaborate with our established team to ensure seamless service and client satisfaction.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of travel destinations, trends, and industry best practices.
Travel Consultant – Essential Requirements:
- Proven experience as a travel consultant within the travel industry, based in the UK from a travel agent or tour operator background.
- Proficiency in GDS, such as Amadeus, Galileo or Sabre.
- Strong sales skills and the ability to convert leads into bookings.
- Ability to work weekends and flexible hours depending on full-time or part-time status and happy to work in the office as this role is
- Passion for travel and delivering outstanding customer service.
