Our client is a leading, forward thinking and dynamic tour operator, now seeking an experienced German or French Speaking Travel Reservation Agent to join their busy and friendly team. This exciting travel opportunity is ideal for someone working for a tour operator seeking career progression and be rewarded for their hard work.
This exciting German or French Speaking Reservations role entails a wide range of tasks in which no day will be the same, this includes:
- Completing hotel accommodation bookings for individual clients and small groups by telephone and email.
- Communicating with hotels in a professional, clear and effective manner and providing the worldwide sales team with up-to-date booking information.
- Negotiate prices and conditions with hotels as well as resolving booking issues and complaints directly with hotels and negotiate compensation or refunds as and when required.
- Load accurate rates and booking details into the in-house system and to liaise with other departments.
German or French Speaking Travel Reservation Agent – Essential Experience:
- Experience working in the travel industry either within a hotel in reservations or reception or a tour operator is essential
- Fluency in English (spoken and written) and German OR French
- Superb interpersonal and communication skills alongside a professional telephone manner
- Good sound knowledge of the MS Office Applications
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Confident to work without supervision as well as part of a diverse team
