Director of Sourcing – Dubai – Remote – up to 25,710 Dirhams per month (PTR 2347)

We are seeking an experienced Director of Sourcing to join a successful transport company, working remotely in Dubai. The Director of Sourcing must be from a ride hailing company or a transfer segment of travel.

The Role’s main objective is to maximise opportunities in the assigned markets through effective sourcing of Transportation inventory and ownership of all aspects of the commercial relationship with suppliers with the aim of continuously improving their offerings to deliver the agreed upon and set targets.

Director of Sourcing – Duties:

• Establish strong internal and external relationships with Transportation companies and internal peers.
• Focus on account management tasks aiming to deliver quality transportation supply to enable building consistent sales in all source markets.
• Contribute in crafting the best city strategy with leadership.
• Align with metrics/KPIs/KORs of the company to reach the best outcome.
• Provide relevant data and reports, and analyse the performance at city level with essential recommendations to adjust plans and operations when necessary to maximize revenue.
• Negotiate existing and new contracts; re-negotiate contracts when necessary to maintain a competitive edge at each contracted city.
• Evaluate and analyse market trends, competitors’ activities, and market/city reports and provide recommendations to maintain a competitive edge while maximizing revenue.
• Nurture relationships with industry stakeholders (tourism boards, official transportation regulatory bodies, etc…) to support the growth of the company.

Director of Sourcing – Essential Requirements:

• Extensive experience in the Travel and Tourism industry within a ride hailing company or a transfer segment of travel is imperative.
• Be based in Dubai with similar experience.
• The successful candidate should demonstrate an ability to lead and manage a team, fostering collaboration and active problem-solving.
• High proficiency in Public Speaking / PowerPoint Presenting abilities.
• Strong industry knowledge and strong in building industry relationships.
• Strong in market data gathering skills.
• Previous experience in key B2B Travel wholesale companies or Transportation ride share operators.
• Strong quantitative and analytical competency.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications; especially Excel.
