Travel Management Accountant Kent, hybrid £50k + perks (PTR 4156)
We are seeking an experienced & qualified Travel Management Accountant to join a highly successful travel company, hybrid working model, based in Kent.
This forward thinking and dynamic travel company offers an array of travel itineraries across the globe.
Essential Requirements:
- Management accountant experience, we would consider accountants in and out the travel industry
- Part qualified
- Strong attention to accuracy and detail.
- Ability to manage a team which includes an outsourced unit.
- Good Microsoft skills, including strong excel skills (vlookup, sumifs) and PowerBi.
Travel Management Accountant Duties:
- Assist with the smooth running of the accounts department.
- Developing, improving, and maintaining procedures and internal controls over financial transactions within the firm are conducted efficiently and accurately o Assist with the VAT Returns & TOMS Calculations.
- Overseeing the reconciliation of Vendors/Suppliers Overseeing the authorisation of expenses/overheads.
- Overseeing the reconciliation of sterling and currency bank accounts.
- Preparation of the CAA & ABTA quarterly reports.
- Ensure strict balance sheet control which complies with internal and external ratios o Overseeing any VAT implications within the company, audit of VAT and make sure all personnel are aware of all VAT issues.
- The preparation of the monthly management accounts.
- Working with the FD to prepare annual Accounts.
